Volunteers Volunteers are the key to enabling SU Qld to achieve our vision of engaging children and young people with Jesus, the bible and the local church. They are the backbone of our organisation. Without them, much of the work we do would not be possible
Each year approximately 2,000 volunteers contribute to the success of SU Qld . There are many ways you can be involved as a volunteer:
Non-ministry opportunities
Join a Local Chaplaincy Committee or Regional Leadership Team
Administrative Assistance in our regional and Brisbane offices
Help out at a Fundraising event
ministry opportunities
Help out your chaplain at the local school
Start a SUPA Club if your local primary school has no chaplain
Lead on a holiday camp
Lead on a Community Outreach
Offer your services as a camp/community outreach cook, bus driver, boat driver or ‘camp/community outreach’ parent
What do we ask for?
We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about bringing hope to today’s children and young people.
We ask that all our volunteers be willing to complete an application process and agree to work within the aims, beliefs and working principles of SU Qld .
For ministry events we require that our volunteers also undergo training for their role and hold a valid Blue Card.
